Conducting scientific research with the iPS cell lines and the iPS-derived models, we expect to gain a better understanding of the causes and treatment(s) of the different courses of MS. Both national and international academic researchers can apply for iPS cell lines stored at the MSiPS Biobank by means of a research application form. All applications are assessed before the MSiPS Biobank issues the iPS cell lines for scientific research. There are costs associated with the use of the iPS cell lines. The revenues are used for the maintenance and storage of the cell lines.
